Taurus II: The Sacred Union of Heaven and Earth (April 30–May 10 | 10°–20° Taurus)

Taurus II marks a holy threshold—where the Moon, embodied by the High Priestess, meets the Sun’s divine order through the Hierophant. This decan (10°–20° Taurus) holds the mystery of sacred union. The High Priestess represents the spiritual woman, the indwelling divine—seen across traditions as Mary, Shekinah, or Sophia, the wisdom of the soul. She is the ancestral lineage of the holy feminine, keeper of intuition, silence, and the sacred unseen.

In this fertile decan, she joins the Hierophant, guardian of spiritual structure, form, and sacred tradition. Their union symbolizes the meeting of inner knowing with outer ritual—heaven and earth in divine dialogue.

Taurus II also contains Wesak, the Scorpio Full Moon opposite the Taurus Sun, when Buddhists believe divine blessings pour from the higher realms. It is a time of prayer, faith, and abundant giving. The promise of Taurus II is this: through generosity—material or spiritual—we open the channels for grace to flow.

The magic key to unlocking the power of this window is prayer—the inward act of connection, intention, and surrender.Through prayer and giving, Taurus II teaches us to co-create abundance with the divine.

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen…” —Matthew 6:6

“Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” —Luke 6:38

“The one who gives shall be the one who gains. The one who gives with a pure heart rejoices here and hereafter.”
— Dhammapada, Verse 177

Abundance is not hoarded, but created through sacred reciprocity. This is the teaching of Taurus II.

Information Overload – Jupiter in Gemini

Original artwork compliments of Gentry Smith Tarot

Information overload can be linked to Jupiter’s influence in Gemini because Jupiter’s expansive nature combines with Gemini’s focus on communication, information, and technology. Companies that create this overload, like tech giants and media corporations, often started or grew significantly during times when Jupiter was in Gemini. This combination encourages the rapid spread of information, new technologies, and a huge increase in data exchange, leading to the overwhelming amount of information we see today.

During the last time Jupiter was in Gemini (June 2012 to June 2013), several key developments contributed to this trend:

During the last time Jupiter was in Gemini (June 2012 to June 2013), several key developments contributed to this trend:

Smartphone Market Saturation: By 2012, smartphones became very common in the U.S., with more people using smartphones than basic phones. By the end of 2012, 61% of U.S. mobile phone users owned a smartphone. 2012 was considered a benchmark in the nationwide acceptance of mobile technology.

Rise of Mobile Apps and Social Media: Instagram, bought by Facebook for $1 billion in April 2012, grew rapidly and had over 100 million users by February 2013. This period saw a big increase in mobile apps and social media, changing how people consumed and shared information.

Significant Innovations and Releases: Facebook went public in May 2012, marking a major event in technology. The expansion of 4G LTE networks improved mobile internet speeds, changing how people used mobile devices and consumed media.

These developments, influenced by Jupiter in Gemini, show how the planet helped expand communication and information sharing, contributing to today’s information overload

Tools to Work with Jupiter in Gemini

Thoth Tarot 8 of Swords

In the tarot tradition, Jupiter in Gemini rules the first 10 days of Gemini, and then the energy shifts. However, this year, we get the added bonus of having Jupiter in Gemini for an entire year, like having a GPS with endless alternate routes for your journey. This theme will run from May 2024 until June 2025. When Jupiter is in Gemini, it can feel like your mind sees a million options at once, making it tough to choose a path and sometimes leading to mental paralysis. One good strategy to navigate this is to ask for advice from a trusted source. We all have those go-to people—friends, family, therapists, or spiritual counselors. Don’t hesitate to lean on these resources to help you make decisions and gain clarity.

Jupiter in Gemini – 8 of Swords Energy

Hey there! So, on May 20th, the Sun moves into Gemini, and a few days later, on May 25th, Jupiter joins the party. While the Sun will hang out in Gemini for about 30 days, Jupiter’s planning to stay for a whole year, making its way through all 30 degrees of Gemini.

Interestingly, on May 20th, the tarot card that comes into play is the Eight of Swords. This card represents the first 10 degrees of Gemini according to the Rider-Waite and Thoth tarot traditions. It’s all about feeling trapped or restricted but with the possibility of breaking free if you change your perspective.

Now, let’s talk about Jupiter in Gemini. This placement brings a mix of intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and great communication skills. However, it also comes with its own set of challenges like superficiality, restlessness, and inconsistency. But don’t worry! By recognizing these potential pitfalls, you can work on them and make the most of the positive traits. This way, you can lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.

So, watch how these energies play out in your life as Jupiter travels through Gemini over the next year. Embrace curiosity and adaptability while staying mindful of the tendency to get distracted or spread yourself too thin. It’s all about finding that sweet spot and leveraging your strengths to navigate any weaknesses

Statins Might Be Stupid

Why mess up your liver when natural activity offers such significant benefits?

Statistics indicate that cardiovascular exercise and statin drugs reduce all-cause cardiovascular mortality, but exercise offers broader benefits. Studies show that regular physical activity can reduce mortality risk by up to 35%, with substantial absolute risk reductions. In contrast, statins provide a modest absolute risk reduction, lowering all-cause mortality by 0.8%, myocardial infarction by 1.3%, and stroke by 0.4%. While statins are beneficial, especially for those with high cardiovascular risk, exercise offers extensive health advantages without medication side effects. Combining regular exercise with appropriate medical interventions can yield the best outcomes for cardiovascular health. In addition to reducing cardiovascular mortality, exercise improves overall physical fitness, mental health, and quality of life. Compare this to statins, which are primarily focused on reducing cholesterol levels and related cardiovascular events, with potential side effects such as muscle pain and liver enzyme abnormalities.

Journal of the American Medical Association: This study was reported in the U.S. Pharmacist, summarizing the findings on the benefits and limitations of statins in reducing cardiovascular risk (U.S. Pharmacist).

No limit to the benefits of exercise in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Retrieved from University of Oxford (Ox.ac.uk).
